What does MLB standout Dansby Swanson have in common with a Credit Union? Well, when this commercial was conceptualized the Braves were in a playoff chase and Dansby's contract was coming up...and thus the idea of "The Bank Shot" was born. Writing for athletes means making sure the concept feels appropriate for the person....these are not actors, casting is not flexible. So, the concept has to feel right. Dansby approached this project with good humor, and he had his lines down pat. He really made Swanson fans of us all.
